Tara is amazing, we could not recommend her enough – that is why this is a long review! Our only regret that we have is not getting her in sooner to help with our two boys sleeping, or lack of. If you are contemplating engaging The Gentle Sleep specialist do not wait, speak to Tara and see what she can do to help. Our best advice would be to trust her and follow her advice 100%.

We cannot believe how little quality sleep our boys were having let alone us due to the constant night waking and parent involvement in resettling them. The lack of sleep was negatively impacting the boys’ behaviour, development and health. As parents we were struggling to cope with the lack of sleep which was having a negative impact on our relationship with each other and our kids, we were always tired and grumpy.

Our 12-month-old boy Rhys, who is our third child, still had a dummy, was being fed and cuddled to sleep then waking every 1.5-2hrs at night which would eventually end up with him sleeping in our bed. Rhys’s quality and quantity of sleep was far from what he needed, we started to notice his development wasn’t tracking as it should be which concerned us quite a bit.

Our 3.5-year-old boy Nate, who is our second child, has never been a great sleeper. At bed time Nate was being cuddled to sleep in his bed then waking anywhere from 2-5 times a night. Bedtime could take up too 1hr for him to fall asleep and night waking take anywhere from 30-90minutes to get him back asleep.

Now this is where Tara has been amazing and given us the process to restore some quality sleep into our boys and our own lives. Both boys are a lot happier, healthier and Rhys’s development has progressed so much. Rhys now has no dummy and doesn’t rely on cuddles or breast feeding to fall asleep. He now self-settles and sleeps through the night averaging 11hrs of quality sleep, whilst still having 2-3hrs of day naps. Nate also self-settles to sleep at night time, which takes less than 10 minutes for him to fall asleep. Nate now gets a minimum of 10hrs of sleep each night and quite often sleeps through. If he does wake at night, it is usually only once and falls back asleep himself within 5 minutes.

Thank you, Tara, for your help and constant support and advice.
